Is your dog or cat constantly scratching? Is her stomach red, or does she keep licking her paws?

A possible reason for this could be the radical development and overabundance of yeast in your dog or cat’s system and on their coat.

Yeast intolerance could take weeks or years to surface and present itself, but could be very difficult to contain and counteract. With patience and through changing your animal’s diet, if your pet does have yeast  over growth, it may be possible to help regulate it through diet.

Today, many dogs who use and consume commercial pet food products could have some on going type of yeast related problem. Most commonly, yeast overgrowth could causes extreme itchiness, inflammation of the paws, build up in ears which can lead to infection, and in severe cases red sores and hot spots.

What is so great about the PetStaurant is that we families find the right food and program cultivated to deal with almost every situation and special circumstance when it comes to dogs and cats. The meals we make take factors like breed, weight, age, and specific intolerences into consideration before formulation and work to normalize system activity and function. Sometimes the food we make is not even the right food, and often recommend brands like Honest Kitchen, Primal, Stella and Chewys, and others to help families address specific problems.

Our main specialty in regards to special needs is dealing with dogs and cats whom have yeast. Antibiotics (which we do not recommend) or shampoos that kill yeast are only temporary fixes. In order to combat and fight against the over population of yeast, the food source must be changed.

If you have a dog or cat whom is suffering or plagued by some kind of ailment, we urge you to come in for a free consultation. At the very least, we can teach you how to cook for your pet and how to change their diet to normalize system activity.

Wellness Starts with Diet

You are what you eat, and your pets are exactly what you feed them.

With the right foods, pets can live amazingly long and healthy lives. The wrong foods, frequent veterinarian visits and a life plagued by disease and health issues.

Through experience, and working with both dog and cats, we have become very skilled at finding the right foods for individualized cases. Many dogs and cats who eat highly processed commercial diets suffer from some kind of food related health issues.

What this means is that there is definitely something wrong with the pet food industry and the foods being produced. Regardless of what you think or may feel, kibble and highly processed pet products are not natural and cause an overwhelmingly amount of the problems both dogs and cats suffer from.

Here at the PetStaurant, we are strong advocates in regards to what we call a living diet. A living can be either a cooked or raw diet. Basically it is a diet that is minimally processed containing enzymes and antioxidants that work to promote positive well being and health. Dogs and cats that exist on a living diet live relatively long and very healthy lives.

We do understand, however, that they are many people out there that insist and will continue to feed kibble. Our philosophy here is – what works for you is what is best. For those who feed kibble, all that we ask is that you feed better kibble (hopefully you will choose the best kibbles). Kibble made grain and potato free, containing only human grade ingredients.
